Neyzar Ünübol joined Kolcuoğlu Demirkan Koçaklı in 2019. She is leading the Firm’s competition law practice, providing services in all aspects of competition law, such as cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, individual exemption applications, merger control filings and design of merger remedies. She also designs and implements specialized competition law compliance programs for multinational and local companies and delivers competition law training that is tailored to clients’ needs and the characteristics of the sector in which they operate.
Neyzar has almost 12 years of experience in the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA) as a competition expert, acting as case handler in numerous preliminary and in-depth investigations in differing sectors, such as telecommunications, FMCG retailing, consumer electronics and alcoholic beverages. Her TCA experience includes individual exemption and negative clearance applications and merger cases, and she also has been involved in the monitoring of merger remedies and conducting sector inquiries. Neyzar has had strategic involvement in the preparation process of various secondary legislations on competition law and has participated in many international and national conferences and workshops. She is a non-governmental advisor for TCA to International Competition Network.
